Elise started her career in aesthetic medicine over 20 years ago at one of the most esteemed cosmetic dermatology and laser centers in the country. While there, she gained valuable experience in cosmetic injections and laser therapy. Through her decades of experience, knowledge of anatomy and artful eye, Elise has mastered her craft of treating aging skin, blending proprietary modalities to create beautiful, natural, and transformative results.
Furthering her expertise through teaching and education, Elise has been a National Injector Trainer for an elite aesthetics company for over 13 years. Her skills as an injector, pleasant personality and love for teaching others has earned her a well-known and respected reputation as one of Utah’s top injectors.
Continuing education is an ongoing pursuit for Elise and she loves advancing her craft and fine-tuning her skill set in the ever-changing world of aesthetics and laser medicine.
Originally from Northern California, Elise earned her Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology and chemistry at Brigham Young University. She then spent 10 years working at Primary Children’s Medical Center as a clinical laboratory scientist. In 2003, Elise graduated from the University of Utah Physician Assistant Program with her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies, and was honored to receive the Jaquelyn Marie Erbin Leadership Award for her class.
When she’s not making Alchemy a pleasant place for patients and fellow employees, Elise enjoys spending time with her husband and four children. She’s an avid fitness enthusiast, loves CrossFit, rope jumping and any outdoor adventure.
Julieanne Cox, FNP
Medical Director, Nurse Practitioner
Julieanne Cox, FNP, a seasoned nurse practitioner with a background in family practice, brings her expertise to the realm of aesthetics as the newly appointed Medical Director at Alchemy Aesthetics. With a passion for holistic patient care, Julieanne seamlessly blends her clinical acumen with a keen eye for aesthetic enhancements, ensuring a comprehensive approach to well being. Her commitment to fostering a comfortable and trusting patient experience had made her a trusted leader in both family medicine and the evolving field of aesthetic healthcare. Outside of work, Julieanne loves to spend time with her husband, new baby girl, and her golden retriever, Doug.
ALISON LARSEN
Licensed Master Esthetician
Alison Larsen is our Master Medical Esthetician here at Alchemy. She completed her schooling at Acaydia Spa and School of Aesthetics. Her passion for skin health and self-care is what drives her to be a warm, compassionate and skilled aesthetician. She strives to provide services that her clients will enjoy during their experience at Alchemy, and that leave them with noticeable improvements afterwards. It is her mission to ignite inner confidence from the skin transformations that her treatments provide.
Her specialty treatments include microneedling, Hydrafacials, facials and chemical peels. When she isn’t in the clinic, she enjoys reading, hot yoga and being outdoors with her husband.
Kayla Papez, RN
Advanced Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist
Kayla Papez has joined Alchemy Aesthetics as an advanced certified aesthetic nurse specialist. She is certified in injectables, medical aesthetics, anti-aging and wellness medicine. She is a board-certified registered nurse and obtained her degree from the Ameritech College of Nursing in 2013. She has recently received her bachelor’s degree in nursing. She has held several positions as a medical provider throughout the Salt Lake valley. Her passion in this field lies within prevention, wellness, balance, evidence-based practice and patient education to assist her clients in improving their overall health and quality of life by living beautifully on the inside as well as the outside.
Kayla has received her advanced cadaver course certificate and has received her certification in both basic and advanced injections from the National Institute of Medical Aesthetics. She has also shadowed double board-certified facial plastic surgeons and has completed multiple advanced private training courses, webinars and seminars.
When she’s not busy at work, you’ll find Kayla spending time with her daughter Hazel and son Greyson. She married her best friend and they love to travel the world together with their minis in her down time. Kayla enjoys high intense interval training, dancing, hiking, biking, and anything that keeps her moving and active. Her favorite food is Italian and her favorite treat is donuts!
Afton O’Connor
Medical Assistant
Afton has been a medical assistant in aesthetic medicine for over 18 years. She started her career at a prominent dermatology clinic where she was lead assistant for several of the providers. Afton is well-versed in skin care, injectables, threads and laser treatments. She prioritizes the comfort and care of our patients from the moment they walk in the door until they’re fully satisfied with their results. When not working, Afton enjoys being a mom to her daughter Liv, camping, paddle-boarding and spending time with her family, friends and her dog Bear.
