Sculptra Aesthetic is an injectable biostimulator that is used to reverse the signs of facial fat loss that occur with aging. By restoring collagen which decreases as the body ages, it improves shallows and hollows in the face, as well as deep wrinkles and folds. Sculptra’s main component is an alpha hydroxy acid called poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), and is considered safe and effective for most patients. Sculptra is biodegradable which means the body will naturally break it down over time. For those using this treatment primarily to correct skin health and tone, one to two treatment sessions are beneficial. For those patients with anti-aging concerns, a series of 3 or more Sculptra treatments spaced a month apart are recommended. Results may vary but, in a clinical study, their effects were
